On November 28th, the signing ceremony for the expansion of Xitai Technology's global IC R&D center and display module production, as well as the OEM project for terminal products, was held in Meishan Tianfu New Area. Sha Wanqiang, member of the Standing Committee of Meishan Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda, and head of Meishan Tianfu New Area Party Working Committee, and Zhao Zhengxiao, Chairman of Xitai Technology, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.
This project is another strategic investment by Xitai Technology based on the Meishan Module Phase I project, with a planned total investment of 1.6 billion yuan. The construction includes IC R&D and testing center, display module expansion project, and terminal product OEM production line. After full completion and production, the annual production capacity can reach 13 million micro display modules and 3 million XR machines.
The launch of the Meishan Phase II module and complete machine project is not only a requirement for the construction of Xitai's second 12 inch silicon-based OLED production line, but also an important strategic measure for Xitai Technology to strengthen its IC research and development capabilities and extend its business value chain. In addition to expanding the production line of display modules, the company will also include optical module and whole machine outsourcing businesses in the second phase project to enhance the value and creativity of the project.
